Trash Bash is when volunteer groups, families and individuals from throughout the county conduct a “Spring-Cleaning” making sure roadside litter is picked up on township and county roads.
To register your group, please call the Health Department at (419)947-1545 x 315
To participate in Trash Bash, people must register by calling the health department office at 419-947-1545. When people register, they will be assigned roads for pick up. They will also be asked to come in and pick up vests, gloves, educational materials and special colored bags. Trash Bash is a good community service project and at the same time a money maker for groups.
The day of Trash Bash everyone who registered is to bring their roadside trash to the fairgrounds. When they do this, they will receive a bounty based on the number of bags of trash and aluminum collected. Trash Bash is NOT the time to dispose of residential trash from your home; only roadside litter will be taken.
If you would like to help financially with the Trash Bash bounties you may make the check payable to Morrow County Litter Advisory Board and drop off or mail to Morrow County Health Department, 619 West Marion Road, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338.
